Greek Yogurt with Strawberries and Honey
This quick, nutritious dish captures the essence of summer with minimal effort, perfect for a healthy, Italian-inspired diet!
Ingredients
- Greek Yogurt: ¾ cup (200 g), full-fat or low-fat, plain
- Strawberries: ½ cup (75 g), hulled and sliced
- Blueberries: ½ cup (75 g), rinsed
- Honey: 1–2 tsp, to taste
- Optional: 1 tbsp chopped nuts (e.g., almonds or walnuts) or a sprinkle of granola for crunch
Instructions
- Prepare the Berries: Rinse strawberries and blueberries under cold water. Hull and slice the strawberries into bite-sized pieces. Pat berries dry to avoid diluting the yogurt.
- Assemble the Dish: Spoon ¾ cup Greek yogurt into a bowl or glass. Top with sliced strawberries and blueberries, arranging them evenly.
- Add Honey: Drizzle 1–2 tsp honey over the berries and yogurt, adjusting to your preferred sweetness.
- Optional Topping: Sprinkle with chopped nuts or granola for added texture, if desired.
- Serve: Enjoy immediately for a fresh, creamy treat.
Notes
- Store prepped berries in a refrigerator with humidity-controlled crispers to maintain freshness for 2–3 days. Technologies like Liebherr’s BioFresh Fruit & Vegetable safe or HydroBreeze (cold mist) can keep strawberries and blueberries crisp for up to 13 days, minimizing waste.
- Keep Greek yogurt sealed in its original container or an airtight container in the fridge, ideally in a low-humidity compartment like Liebherr’s DrySafe, for up to 1–2 weeks.
